Analysis Fast Track
After reading this synopsis you should then go to the graph plotter details by clicking here - Graphing
This module is a sophisticated plotting and analysis routine. You can transfer the scanned results from either the 2D or 3D modules directly into here or import from a file any number of columns of comma, space, tab delimited data.
The spreadsheet style data window displays the data in a grid (columns and rows). After the data has been imported simply select the col(s) you would like plotted and hit the menu 'Update' item. The graph will now show up on the plotting screen.
If you select only one column, the data will be plotted as x,y where x is auto-incremented from 1 to the number of rows and y is the selected column. To plot two sets of data (columns), click on the top of the first column you wish to use as the x-data and drag the mouse over to the last column (y-data). Hit 'Update' and the plotter will display the results.
You can select any range of values by selecting the start row and dragging the mouse over to the ending row and column and hitting 'Update'. This gives you significant flexibility in what you wish to see.
To delete data in the grid, just select the row(s) and hit the 'DEL' key. Update to see the results.
When you are satisfied with the results you can then save the grid data to a file in several formats.
Note that most menu selections are available as 'shortcut keys' such as CTRL+F will open a file.
